About me

Ciao, I’m Tobias — an Italian personal trainer based in Winchester since 2019.

I became a PT because I believe fitness is one of the most powerful tools we have to stay capable, independent and confident throughout life. For me, training isn’t only about looking better or lifting heavier. It’s about making everyday life easier, protecting your health, improving your wellbeing and giving yourself the best chance of enjoying life for as long as possible.

Fitness has changed many aspects of my own life. It helped improve my confidence, physical health and mental wellbeing, but it also introduced me to the community that comes with training. The gym can be a place where people build friendships, support each other and feel part of something — and I believe that social connection is an important part of living well too.

That’s why one phrase has always stayed with me:

“Not only adding years to your life, but life to your years.”

Living longer is great, but longevity means much more than simply reaching an older age. I want my clients to stay strong enough to move well, enjoy their hobbies, travel, play with their children or grandchildren and continue doing the things that make life worth living — rather than spending their later years limited by weakness and frailty.

My coaching reflects that philosophy. Strength training is a big part of what I do, but I also look at the wider picture: cardiovascular fitness, mobility, nutrition, recovery, lifestyle habits and building a healthy relationship with exercise.

I’m structured in the way I coach. Your sessions, workouts, progress and body measurements are tracked so we can clearly see how you’re improving over time. I don’t believe in random workouts, crash diets or the unrealistic promises often promoted by fitness gurus online. I prefer a clear plan, realistic progress and habits that you can actually maintain.

At the same time, training doesn’t need to feel overly serious. I take my job seriously, but I definitely don’t take myself too seriously. Expect plenty of conversation about food, cars, sport, general knowledge and, being Italian, probably food again.

Most importantly, you don’t need to arrive already fit or confident in the gym.

If you’re completely new to training, I’ll be patient and help you build your confidence step by step. If you’re experienced and ready to push yourself, I’ll challenge you beyond your comfort zone. And if you have worries, insecurities or concerns about training, you’ll always have someone who will listen without judgement.

Whatever your starting point, we start from there — and build forward together.
